Conferences

BrightonSEO in September 2019, my second time presenting at this event, saw me take to the stage to discuss small budget SEO. A great opportunity to bring some actionable tips to an audience who doesn’t always have the time or budget to implement the big ticket advice heard at most events.

Learn Inbound is an awesome event and I was extremely lucky to be allowed on the stage with some of the digital marketing industry’s most respected speakers. My talk, “10 minutes that will change your reporting for good” was centred around making the hellish endeavor of reporting beneficial for both the marketer and its audience.

This was my first, but hopefully not last, trip to Leeds. The epic event that is SearchLeeds made the long train journey very definitely worth it. My talk focused on the problem of “dark data” in Google Analytics and the ways to recover visibility of this mysterious traffic. Missed the event? The team at Figaro Digital did a great job of putting together an event for brand marketers to help them with their daily lives in digital marketing. My talk, “Standing out in the organic SERPs” can be seen here: https://www.figarodigital.co.uk/video/standing-out-in-the-organic-serps/

In September 2018 I had the great opportunity to talk to the Brighton SEO audience about technical SEO. In a talk titled “Technical SEO audit top tips for beginners”, I detailed the complexities and intricacies of carrying out technical audits, all whilst speaking very fast. Have a look at the recording of the event here: https://youtu.be/-XVca7KhGLY

Back in June 2018 I had the opportunity to give an introduction to SEO during a workshop with a select group at the Kent Vision Live event. An enjoyable expeience, even if it did lead to me singing Britney Spears on stage.

Meetups

June 2019 saw me visit Bristol to speak at BristolSEO on the subject of “credit where credit’s due” a look at the problem of misattribution of data in Google Analytics.

My first trip over to Dublin provided a fantastic evening at the PintSizedMarketing event run by Learn Inbound. An highly enjoyable trip to Ireland which allowed me the opportunity to speak about Google Analytics and the issue of “dark data”.
